Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Madison Firth discovered her passion for veterinary medicine early, beginning as a volunteer at a veterinary hospital while still in high school. She later worked as a veterinary assistant during her undergraduate studies, further solidifying her desire to pursue a career caring for animals.
Dr. Firth earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at the University of Minnesota. Following graduation, she spent two years pursuing additional advanced training in equine medicine and surgery at referral-level equine hospitals, gaining valuable experience in the care and treatment of equine patients.
After recently getting married, Dr. Firth and her husband decided to make the move to Texas, where she joined the team at Hooves & Paws Pet Hospital. She enjoys the variety that mixed-animal practice provides and the opportunity to care for both small and large animal patients.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Firth enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and making memories with her husband and their very full house of animals! Their family includes four dogs, Stevie, Stetson, Lady, and Levi, as well as their horse, Honey.
